Camp Rio Blanco Resident Camp

Camp Rio Blanco is an all girl residential overnight summer camp. Camp Rio Blanco is operated by Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains, Inc., but girls do not have to currently be Girl Scouts to attend.

Just off the Caprock, east of Crosbyton, TX, Camp Rio Blanco was established in 1959 and has 118 acres. Camp Rio Blanco has approximately 75 – 100 campers per week ages 6-17. Hiking, swimming, crafts, archery, drama, puppetry and nature studies are just a few of the program activities campers have to choose from.

Camp Rio Blanco offers “mini sessions” for girls going into 1st and 2nd grade so they try out summer camp and aren’t quite ready for a full week. Week long sessions are offered for girls going into 2nd grade and up.

While at camp, girls learn something about themselves, broaden new skills and even show their parents they can survive a few days away from home! Late night talks, plenty of new friends, a safe environment where girls rule and a place to cool off when the summer sun gets hot. These are just a few of the reason many girls come to Camp Rio Blanco.
